SGA works with municipalities, renewable energy companies, and other partners to reduce greenhouse gases. Through clean energy projects, energy efficiency, and other strategies we fight climate change and build greener communities.

We believe education leads to action. Our youth climate advocacy program is the core of our educational work, but we engage partners such as schools and nonprofits to provide educational resources on a range of topics for a variety of stakeholders.

The effects of the climate crisis are unevenly distributed, and some communities are more vulnerable than others. SGA prioritizes working with under-resourced communities to ensure that climate solutions benefit those most in need.

Food and plastic waste produce an enormous amount of pollution and greenhouse gas. SGA partners with municipalities and local institutions to help communities significantly reduce waste through a variety of strategies.

The climate crisis is a collective problem that requires collective solutions. We build coalitions across municipalities, institutions, and organizations that create high-impact, scalable climate solutions.

The agricultural industry is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. By partnering with schools, farmers, and others, SGA is helping build a local, sustainable food system that is essential to fighting the climate crisis.
